Add a video bubble to your Shopify site

On Shopify the line goes into your theme’s main layout file, so the bubble can appear on every page of your store.

Before you start

Store owner or staff access with permission to edit themes.
Your CornerHello install line (Dashboard → Install).

Your install line

Copy it from Dashboard → Install; it already contains your site key. It looks like this:

Steps

In Shopify admin, go to Online Store → Themes.

Next to your current theme, open the … menu and choose Edit code.

Open layout/theme.liquid.

Paste your CornerHello line just before the closing </body> tag, then click Save.

Open your store in a private window to check the bubble.

Check that it works

Open your site in a private window and wait a few seconds: the bubble slides into the corner. In your dashboard, Install → Verify confirms that the line is found. Nothing showing? Check that the page matches your funnel’s page rules and that the funnel is published.

If you switch to a new theme later, add the line to the new theme too.
Use page rules to show different videos on product, collection and cart pages.
Shoppable video (tagging products in the video) is planned, not available yet.

FAQ

CornerHello on Shopify

Does it work on the checkout page?

No. Shopify doesn’t allow custom scripts on checkout for most plans, and a bubble there would distract buyers anyway.

Will it affect my store’s speed score?

The script is about 3 KB and loads after your page; the video only downloads when a shopper taps the bubble.
